THE CHALLENGE
The customer conducted manual testing spanning 1000+ designs across various categories. Testing the complete application manually, with different test data combinations, covering the entire gamut of products and designs, in a limited time duration was challenging.
The customer was also trying to move towards automation internally. But when they contracted AlgoShack, they realized that this was not necessary.
THE SOLUTION
We covered testing and test automation across web, desktop and mobile applications providing multi-browser support across Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari. Areas included UI based Functional Test Automation, API Test Automation, Load Testing, Performance Testing and Security Testing. Considering the dynamic scenarios of e-commerce, we carried out testing directly in the test environment as well as in production and provided continuous monitoring.
With our Profiler and Test Case Engine (TCE) modules within algoQA, we covered:
- The website, Mobile Sites (Android and iOS) and Mobile Apps (Android and iOS)
- We also supported their migration to Unboxed implementation for their intelligent search engine for optimizing product discovery experience of users.
- Test reports were also generated automatically with e-mail alerts and notifications sent out on an hourly basis.
THE RESULTS
With 9500 test cases generated, 166,480 test steps auto-generated, and 200 defects captured, we ensured a 100% test coverage saving 80% testing and test automation costs.
We also supported the customer as they sorted out their supply chain challenges during the Covid-19.
